The PCE and the School of Civil engineering are very experienced in undertaking commercial work. Some of the work we have undertaken in the past are:

• CFD modelling of airborne microorganisms, their behaviour in the air and their susceptibility to interventions such a UV lighting, ionisation etc.
• Microbiological studies both in the laboratory and in hospitals. This article describes one of our projects and well some of the techniques we use: UV's role in hospital infection control.
